This initiative was carried out to support underprivileged students in the Thalawathugoda area, who were identified as needing spectacles to improve their vision and enhance their educational experience. The project aimed to reduce the barriers these students face in their studies due to poor eyesight and ensure that they can continue their learning journey with greater confidence and clarity. A number of deserving students were provided with spectacles after proper eye checkups, enabling them to better engage in their academic activities. The project not only fulfilled an essential need but also brought smiles and relief to the children and their families. The project was coordinated under the leadership of Project Chairman Lion Heshan Padukka, with the active support and participation of our members. We sincerely appreciate the sponsor’s request and contribution which made this meaningful project a reality, helping us to serve our community in line with the Lions’ values of care and service.
